Seeing and hearing how much of a positive impact our mobility bathrooms and installations have had on our customers’ lives is one of the most rewarding aspects of the work we do for them. This encourages us to keep providing the best accessible bathroom installations at a reasonable price.
After many years of helping others in need, one of our lovely customers, ex-nurse Mrs Falkenstein, prioritised her own health and safety and invested in a brand new accessible bathroom from AHM Installations.
Mrs. Falkenstein (81) was having difficulty getting in and out of the shower due to the standard high step found in most showers. She decided to opt for a brand new disabled bathroom update after years of struggling with this issue and contacted our lovely team.
“Getting out of the shower was becoming a problem. I’m fairly recently widowed, so for my own sake I needed to get it sorted out.”
Mrs. Falkenstein discovered our advertisement in a local magazine with the help of her sister and decided to learn more about our products by visiting our website. Naturally, after learning more about us, they were both very pleased with the accessible bathrooms and services we provide!
“I saw a couple of other companies, but I’d already half made up my mind that I would use AHM… When Paul, the designer, came to see me he was very nice. He planned the bathroom to be just right for me. Then Scott, the surveyor, came to measure up and said everything Paul suggested was spot on.”
Our talented designer Paul used Mrs. Falkenstein’s ideas to create a beautiful, stylish bathroom that is much more accessible and easy to use while keeping all of Mrs. Falkenstein’s ideas and extras in mind.
Instead of tiles, wall panels were used in the design. This is due to the fact that they are much easier to keep clean and maintain, as well as having a much more contemporary and modern appearance.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with my bathroom. It’s safer to use and the walls are much easier to clean. I just wipe them down.”
Because of some of the design elements used in this bathroom, all of the facilities are much easier to enter and exit without tripping or falling. The shower was built with one side open to allow for assistance if needed.
“The shower is open at one end so my sister can help me if I need it. I also had the sink moved and a raised toilet put in.”
The work we did at Mrs. Falkenstein’s house is routine for us, but the positive impact it has had on her life and wellbeing is well worth the time and effort it took to design and install her new accessible bathroom.
